Amaram is a 1991 Malayalam film directed by Bharathan. In the banner of symphony creations babu thiruvalla produced this excellent movie.The movie is all about the story of achootty (Mammootty), a fisherman and his daughter.The uneducated Achootty wants her daughter to be educated and also want her to become a doctor.His dreams get shattered when she falls in love with her childhood friend.The screen play of lohitha das was excellent and one of the best acting from mammootty.
