Akkare one of the comedy drama type movie directed by K.N. Sasidharan. Story was written by P.K. Nandana Varma and got released in 1984. Mammootty has a good role as Ismail.
Mammootty, Mohanlal, Gopi, Sreeni were the popular stars who acted in this movie. The movie was a good hit and well attracted by family audiences. Sajan and Mammootty become friends during the shooting period of this movie; Sajan was the associate director of Akkare. He was major director and become associate director as he faced some issues in his career. Mammootty given his date for Chakkara Umma and Sajan got rebirth as independent director.
