Oru Sandesam Koodi directed Cochin Hanifa and was released in 1985. Mammootty and Prem Nazir in the lead based on unemployment and poverty. Movie satisfied audiences of both the stars.
Oru Sandesam Koodi ran nearly 50 days in major centers and become a good hit. Prod cost was very low at that time and movie made good revenue to its producers. Those days’ mammootty movies are doing well at box office and he has great star value and in 1986, he named as Mega Star from Super Star after his Dubai visit. Later on 1987-1990 periods his movies like Avanazhi, New Delhi, Oru CBI Diary Kurippu, Iyyer The great, Samrajyam created record collection in south Indian box office and proved his Mega Stardom.
